Bealls, Inc. Distribution Center

Bradenton, Florida

fully automated merge and sortation system

Bealls has grown to over 375 retail stores in states across the Sun Belt, from Florida to California.  Their fast-paced growth required the consolidation of five regional distribution centers into one 300,000-square- foot location in Bradenton, Florida.

With the installation of a fully automated merge and sortation system as well as additional multi-level pick modules and shelving, Bealls realized reductions in delivery and transportation costs, in addition to significant savings associated with the redistribution of direct labor.  One of the key outcomes was accuracy of shipments to the stores, which translated into savings and increased customer satisfaction.

TriFactor provided a complete turn-key system. TriFactor began with the evaluation of current and future processes and volumes, which aided in the development of the design specifications based on best practices.  In addition, TriFactor provided installation, operator training, and maintenance. The Design-Build process enabled Bealls to realize their return-on- investment goals as planned and to identify and plan for incremental facility expansions necessitated by their aggressive growth.
