Green Conveyor - 24 Volt Motor Driven Roller Conveyor

In keeping with today's "green theme," TriFactor now offers the 24V Motorized Driven Roller (MDR) and the E24 roller conveyor, each delivering energy savings and environmentally friendly technology.

When the need calls for zero-pressure (ZP) non-contact accumulation, the 24V MDR conveyor has grown in popularity over the past couple years as the price has gone down significantly and inline or even below traditional 480VAC ZP accumulating conveyor. Additionally, 24V MDR is approximately 60% more energy efficient than traditional conveyors. It also has the advantage of reducing noise on the warehouse floor by putting out only 60 decibels, just about the level of a soft-rock radio station.

"The 24V MDR is insanely quiet," says Kevin Godwin, Director of Consumer Operations for Exactech, Inc. "I can walk through the warehouse and have a normal conversation with people and be heard perfectly. They should call it the ‘stealth conveyor.' "

Additional features of the 24V MDR include:

  • Fewer moving parts including gearboxes and sprockets
  • Less maintenance - replacement parts are modular and snap in very quickly
  • Fewer spare parts - just the powered roller & a control card
  • Modular design, making it easy to reconfigure
  • Lower operating costs
  • Variable fixed speed adjustment and reversible
  • More OSHA-friendly than conventional conveyors

Hytrol E24

Similar to the 24V MDR, the E24 roller conveyor also combines efficiency, ergonomic design, low maintenance and energy savings. It's a brushless, gearless, low RPM, high-torque conveyor with excellent flexibility, while never sacrificing eco-friendliness.

The E24 roller conveyor's unique feature is its pancake motor, which is mounted on the outside frame of the conveyor. Other 24 V conveyor motors are located inside the roller. This gives the E24 the added feature of requiring only one motor for all conveyor widths and speeds, resulting in a noticeable reduction in wiring and installation, particularly applications requiring frequent layout changes.

Additional features of the E24 include:

  • Minimal maintenance (the drive motors run only when needed)
  • Minimal parts
  • Modular design for easy reconfiguration
  • Extended motor life (8-10 times conventional rollers)
  • Zero-pressure accumulation
  • Plug-and-Play for quick set-up
  • Easily integrates with PCs and PLCs
